Headteacher Dr Doreen Simmerl opened the ceremony with an inspiring speech, the acrostic of which culminated in the key word ‘Abschluss’ – symbolising what had been achieved and the start of a new chapter. Another special moment was the tossing of table tennis balls, symbolising the ambitious target of over 10,000 additional skilled workers who will successfully complete their training at the Heimerer Schools.
Following personal words from the subject and form tutors, the certificates were presented, commemorative photos were taken and, as a little surprise, all graduates received a pair of cool Heimerer socks. The teachers’ choir also ensured a great atmosphere with their humorous rewrites of songs.
Particularly moving were the words of thanks from the class representatives and the graduating classes, who expressed their appreciation for the time spent together through a speech and an emotional video. The day drew to a close at the buffet that followed, in a relaxed atmosphere filled with conversation, memories and anticipation for the future.
We warmly congratulate all the graduates on their successful completion of their studies and wish them every success, happiness and all the best for the future. We are proud to have accompanied them through this important stage of their lives.
