In the video, you can see how orthonyxia treatment (using nail braces) works on a model using the Orthogrip, and how custom orthoses are made to protect against pressure and friction. There was also a live demonstration of the Pododesk practice management software, as well as plenty of tips on ergonomics in the practice and how to interact with patients. Of course, a look at the hygiene station was a must – an important part of the profession. Here, we were shown how instruments are professionally packaged and sealed.
Particularly exciting: mobile working in podiatry! Various systems were presented and our students were given the chance to try packing a treatment case as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Creativity was called for in the production of care products, as the trainees were able to create their own product – for example, a massage oil. A tour of the company rounded off this exciting day and provided many interesting insights into the world of podiatry.
A big thank you to the team at Hellmut Ruck GmbH for this fantastic and practical day!
