This was the aim of the event held on 21 March 2026 at the Heimerer Schools in Torgau. On this day, all pupils considering a career in social or therapeutic professions were given an insight into the Technical College for Health and Social Care, as well as into vocational training programmes such as nursing, occupational therapy, social care and early years education. Teachers and trainees provided personal information about the curriculum, practical relevance and everyday school life. Interdisciplinary learning, tuition-free training and minimal costs for teaching materials make the Heimerer Schools particularly attractive.
Hands-on stations, workshops and individual advice provided plenty of opportunity to try things out and ask questions. Naturally, snacks and drinks were also provided.
An additional bonus: from the 2027/2028 academic year, a hall of residence with 10 accommodation units is planned for pupils in Torgau.
