Armed with plenty of questions, many young students took advantage of the day to gain an insight into our school. Everyone who attended was able to discover the wide range of opportunities offered by the occupational therapy and physiotherapy departments. A practical activity circuit, covering various aspects of both therapy professions, encouraged visitors to get involved, try things out and learn more. Each room was set up with a specific theme. For example, the areas of neuroathletics and specialised pathology, as well as anatomical knowledge, were presented.
Anyone interested could chat with the trainees and specialist teachers on site and tour the school together, including the occupational therapy workshop, where the students demonstrated their manual and creative skills. A small prize draw, along with various snacks and drinks, rounded off this lovely day.
