From 13:00 - 17:00, visitors were treated to a whole host of highlights, exciting insights into school life in Oschatz and informative talks about training opportunities at Heimerer.
Following the opening by headmistress Anja Henschel, all those interested were able to listen to the presentations on civil protection and get up close and personal when it came to "floating" up high with the Oschatz fire brigade.
Resuscitation exercises, civil defence food and supplies and civil (domestic) preparation for possible disasters were other great highlights of the day. Of course, there was a delicious buffet for refreshments.
Practical instructor training rounded off this impressive day. We are already looking forward to the next open day and many visitors.
