The awards ceremony took place on 18 April 2026 at the Kreiskulturhaus in Torgau and was organised by the town of Torgau with the support of numerous sponsors.
Marie prevailed against strong nominees from various sports such as athletics, boxing and handball and was ultimately named Female Sportswoman of the Year – an outstanding achievement!
In addition to this award, honours were also presented in the categories of Young Talent, Men and Team. Numerous sports were represented, including athletics, hammer throw, football, hockey, handball, weightlifting, martial arts, archery and fire service sports.
