This is my preparation for the recognition procedure in nursing care
Would you like to work in the care sector in Germany, but have completed your vocational qualification in another country? As the content of vocational training can vary greatly internationally, your training must be recognised in Germany.
If significant differences between your training and a German training programme are identified ("notice of deficit"), you can compensate for this deficit with an adaptation period or a knowledge test. You will receive all the important information about the procedure, the course and the examination in a counselling interview. The consultation will clarify whether an adaptation period or a knowledge test is more suitable for you.
If you fulfil the following requirements, you will receive approval for this preparatory course:
- Notification from the responsible authority
B2 German certificate
Structure of the preparatory course for the knowledge test
The theoretical lessons comprise a minimum of 220 and a maximum of 540 lessons on the following topics:
- Subject-related German lessons
- Vocational studies
- hygiene
- Prophylaxis
- Nursing techniques
- Care process and care documentation
- Care concepts
- National expert standards
- Quality assurance and development
- Counselling and guidance
- Life-sustaining immediate measures
- Theory of illness
- Case-orientated examination tasks
Total hours: min. 220 and max. 540
