This is my preparation for the recognition procedure in healthcare and nursing
Would you like to work in healthcare and nursing in Germany, but have completed your vocational qualification in another country? As the content of vocational training can vary greatly internationally, your training must be recognised in Germany.
If significant differences between your training and German training are identified ("notice of deficit"), you can compensate for this deficit with an adaptation period or a knowledge test. You will receive all the important information about the procedure, the course and the examination in a counselling interview. The consultation will clarify whether an adaptation period or a knowledge test is more suitable for you.
If you fulfil the following requirements, you will receive approval for this preparatory course:
- Notification from the responsible authority
- B2 German certificate
- Preliminary interview and decision in favour of the knowledge/aptitude test or the adaptation period
Aims of the online preparation course
The course is suitable for all persons who have to take a knowledge test in nursing and has the following objectives:
- Preparation for the state knowledge test
- Compensation for theoretical and practical deficits
- Complete recognition of the foreign professional qualification
Structure of the preparatory course for the knowledge test
The theoretical lessons comprise 220 lessons on the following topics:
- Subject-related German lessons
- Vocational studies
- Hygiene
- Prophylaxis
- Nursing techniques
- Care process and care documentation
- Care concepts
- National expert standards
- Quality assurance and development
- Counselling and guidance
- Life-sustaining immediate measures
- Medical science
- Case-orientated examination tasks
Total: 220 hours
Lessons take place Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 15:30 (8 lessons).
