This is my teacher training at Heimerer in Munich
Small classes with individual support characterise your educator training. The informal atmosphere makes training easier, especially for parents with children, as the lecturers always have an open ear for you. This promotes professional dialogue and learning success. The group of teachers at the Specialist Academy for Social Pedagogy is made up of respected specialists, such as university lecturers, media pedagogues, etc.. This is why the teacher training programme is rated as very good by practitioners. Students are often recruited during their first work placement. The pedagogical focus of the Fachakademie für Sozialpädagogik München is "Let's play" and is based on the motto "Understanding life through play". This is because play is the most important way for children to learn about the world and develop and is therefore the ideal way to work with children in an educational capacity. Training to become an educator is free of charge!
Digital media - a focus of educator training
Digital media strongly characterise the lives of children and young people. Media such as smartphones, tablets and games are a natural part of their everyday lives, which is why promoting media skills should not only be the task of parents, but also of specialised educational staff. As part of our "Media Education Practice" certificate course, our students acquire theoretical and action-orientated knowledge so that they can actively and creatively implement media education topics in the future.
The specialised academy for social pedagogy in a central location!

As the training centre for occupational therapists is located in the same building, there are great workrooms. These can also be used for educator training. The easy accessibility of the school in the immediate vicinity of Munich's main railway station saves you time, which you can use to spend with your family, friends or to study!
Educator training - the joy of support! A look into the future...
The labour market situation for nursery teachers (especially in Munich and the surrounding area) is very good. One reason for this is the legal entitlement to a childcare place for children from the age of one, which has been in place since 2013. However, the increasing demands placed on children in society are also leading to a growing need for very well-trained educators. Early childhood development plays a greater role in this generation than ever before. Further training in this area, such as that offered by the Heimerer Academy, allows you to gain further qualifications. Overall, the areas of employment for educators are increasing. Graduates of the specialised academy for social pedagogy now find it easier to find a job that matches their personal expectations and strengths .
