University of Applied Sciences
After extensive preparatory work, a University of Applied Sciences has been in the foundation phase since spring 2023. Founding a private university of applied sciences is usually a process that takes two to three years in total. The first degree programme has successfully completed the accreditation process. The second degree programme is currently still undergoing the accreditation process. Friedrich Heimerer Hochschule (FHH) will offer degree programmes in a semi-virtual format with face-to-face teaching at study centres in several federal states. Studies are scheduled to begin in autumn 2026.
On the one hand, a six-semester Bachelor's degree programme in Health Care, which can be studied alongside work and leads to aBachelor of Arts (B.A.), will be offered for graduates of a three-year training course in a healthcare profession . In this degree programme, students will have the opportunity to choose between the specialisations "Management in Healthcare", "Vocational Education for Healthcare Professions", "Management in Emergency Services and System Reflection" and "Counselling and Coaching for Patients with Cognitive Impairments".
On the other hand, graduates who have completed a three-year training course in physiotherapy in accordance with the MPhG will be offered a six-semester Bachelor's degree programme in "Sports Physiotherapy", which can be studied alongside work and leads to aBachelor of Science (B.Sc.). This degree programme will be geared towards working in sports physiotherapy, sports therapy, exercise therapy and sports coaching.

University of Applied Sciences for Health in Pristina
The Heimerer Group's involvement in the tertiary education sector began in 2011 with the founding of a university of applied sciences in Pristina (Republic of Kosovo). This university currently offers five Bachelor's degree programmes (Nursing, Physical therapy, Speech therapy, Occupational therapy, Lab technician) and two Master's degree programmes (Health Management, Psychology), with 1,500 students enrolled. In addition, there is a German programme which takes care of language skills, jobs in Germany, professional recognition and visas.
